Board Meetings at Plattsmouth and Fremont Homes

14 Jul

I had the honor and please of attending board meetings at both of our Homes this week.  Overall, I can tell you that we are in great shape, have employees that are dedicated to the mission and board members that are working hard to keep both Homes in excellent shape!

Plattsmouth Home — The new addition project is nearly finished and we will be doing the cornerstone ceremony for the new addition on August 11th.  Please join us if you can.

Financially the Home is doing well and being good stewards with your donations.  As always, we could do more and I encourage each of you to send in your donation to the Caring Club using the card you received this week.

As always, Mary and her staff are doing a wonderful job and we can be proud of the care they render to our Brothers and their female relatives.

Fremont Home —  The 4H season is upon us and the kids and staff are working hard on those projects.  The home is keeping up with all the animals, the garden and getting ready for 4H day.  The annual 4H day will be on August 10th, kicking off with a BBQ at noon then the animal and projects showing.  If you’ve never been to one of these, you should really try it out, it’s a blast!

Ron and his staff continue to work hard to give the children a loving and safe environment to learn, grow and excel.  The stories we hear about the successes of the Home wouldn’t be possible without all the hard work done by Ron and the staff.  The other great thing for the Home is the wonderful Board that helps make sure the Home runs smoothly.  The men and women on the board are dedicated to the Home and see it as a personal mission to make sure the Home delivers the finest care for the children.

Please consider including the Fremont Home in your charitable donations as they are always running on a tight budget and taking care of teenagers is expensive!

We had lunch with some of the kids after the meeting and here are the pictures:
