On July 28, 2017, at the request of Ashlar Lodge No. 33 in Grand Island and the Stuhr Museum, the Grand Lodge Officers rededicated the cornerstone laid at Stuhr Museum on May 21, 1965. A news piece can be viewed at http://www.nbcneb.com/video/?vid=437273593.
On July 22, 2017, to celebrate the lodge centennial, the Grand Lodge officers rededicated Cotner Lodge No. 297 in Lincoln. The ceremony was attended by several Grand Lodge officers, Past Grand Masters, members of Cotner Lodge and other area Lincoln lodges, as well as family and friends. Following the ceremony at the lodge, Grand Master Rick Myers presented Brother Bill Short with the Artificer Award. He was raised on April 26, 2016, and worked very hard throughout the past year to complete all of the requirements to receive the award.
After the rededication, the celebration was moved to the Bethany Shelter for a picnic prepared by Entered Apprentice Wahadi Allen and Brother Bill Short.

This little guy was sent to Grand Master Myers through the Grand Lodge of Montana. It was carved by Rick’s brother-in-law, Bob Anderson, 33º, from Montana. The details include a replica of his hat, tie, and apron design, with his pin inlaid into the apron.

Nebraska DeMolay held Conclave at Midland University in Fremont July 14-16, 2017.
State Master Councilor Dakota Wells concluded his term, and Kyle Barchus was installed as the new State Master Councilor, with Jacob Leeper as State Senior Councilor, and Jonathan Moats being installed as the new State Junior Councilor.
40 individuals from Bellevue Lodge No. 325, Athena Assembly No. 24, Rainbow for Girls, and Cub Scout Pack 464 posted 56 flags in the Bellevue Cemetery on the Fourth of July. Bellevue Lodge recently adopted the sponsorship of this Pack, and the Scouts gained valuable lessons in flag handling and folding when the flags were returned to the Lodge.
