New Master Mason Bro. Max Carter

On 18 December, RW John Maxell, WB Bob Moninger and myself had the pleasure and honor of conferring the first section of the Master Mason degree on Bro. Max Carter who is also DeMolay State Master Councilor.  This is first time in 20 years that all State Master Councilors will be Master Masons by Annual Communication!  Welcome Brother Max!

I also want to congratulate Mizpah Lodge for putting on a great Master degree!  If you want to see a great degree, one with interest and passion and accuracy, stop by Mizpah for a Master degree sometime.  They really do a great job!

Midwest Lodge No. 317 Outdoor Degree

On May 18th, the Grand Lodge participated in an outdoor Master Mason degree for Bro. Scott Snell.  The location was a pasture about 20 miles south of Hastings.  The weather was great and except for a few ticks the bugs left us alone!  Congratulations to Brother Scott who is the 4th generation of his family to become a Mason!

On Saturday, April 27, several of the Grand Lodge officers and the Grand Master participated in the One Day class held at the Scottish Rite Center and hosted by Lininger Lodge No. 268.  There were a total of 4 candidates that went through the class and the Grand Master conferred the first section of the Master Mason degree.  Other officers helping RW’s McBride, Maxell, Rix, Silver and WB Moninger, Myers, Barger and Brydl.  We enjoyed helping these Brothers to become Masons and hope they have a long, fruitful Masonic career.
