Steaks and Year Pins at Pawnee Lodge
During the June 23, 2019 Annual Steak Fry of Pawnee Lodge No. 23, three 50-year, one 60-year, and one 65-year Awards were presented on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Nebraska by the Master of Pawnee Lodge, W.B. Larry Bradbury, and the Deputy Grand Master, R.W. Ron Stites.
Nebraska Representatives Attend South Dakota Annual Communication
Past Grand Master John Maxell and M.W. Bob Moninger are shown with the 2019-2020 Grand Master of South Dakota, M.W. Harold Ireland, after M.W. Harold’s installation. Also attending the Grand Lodge of South Dakota’s June 20-22, 2019 Annual Communication were Deputy Grand Master Ron Stites and Grand Senior Steward Stan Weidner.
Proficiency Coins Awarded at Bellevue Lodge
On June 19, Grand Senior Warden R.W. Jim Carlton presented Grand Master Full Form Proficiency Excellence Challenge Coins for the EA degree to two brothers of Bellevue Lodge No. 325. The brothers receiving the coins were Brother Dylan Tardiff (left) and Brother Kenn Thompson (right). Brother Dylan received the coin for demonstrating outstanding proficiency answering the questions in Q & A for the Entered Apprentice. Brother Kenn learned the new long form requirements at Bellevue Lodge’s round table training sessions, and then gave the first section lecture in a live degree without mistakes. Well done, Brothers Kenn and Dylan!
Lindly Presented with DGC Apron
M.W. Bob Moninger, Grand Master, and W.B. Delmar Jones, Grand Custodian, presented Deputy Grand Custodian Kevin Lindly with his DGC apron and certificate at the regular communication of Custer Lodge No. 148 in Broken Bow on June 19th. W.B. Kevin was appointed as a DGC in February 2019.
Mt Vernon Chapter Celebrating 125 Years
Mt. Vernon Chapter #84 of Plainview is celebrating their 125th year in 2019. An open house was held on June 8th during the annual Klown Days weekend. Members enjoyed visiting with each other and talking with guests who stopped by. A special thank you to Grand Chapter for the yard signs.

Flood Relief
Members of the Grand Lodge of Nebraska Advancing met at Olive Branch Lodge following their cornerstone ceremony to discuss the distribution of donations received for flood relief applications.

Cornerstone Ceremony Performed for New Lodge Building in Rosalie
The Grand Lodge Officers traveled to Rosalie, Nebraska on June 15, 2019 to perform a Cornerstone Ceremony for Olive Branch Lodge No. 274’s new lodge building. Prior to the Ceremony, M.W. Bob Moninger was received by Olive Branch Lodge. Following Lodge opening, receiving of the Grand Master and lunch, the Cornerstone Ceremony was performed.
The lodge would like to thank the following:
- Jan Hawk, Chair of the Village of Rosalie Board of Trustees;
- State Senator Joni Albrecht (whose Father-in-Law was Walter G. Albrecht, a 58-year member of Olive Branch Lodge No. 274)
- The Rainbow Girls from South Sioux City who decorated the cornerstone;
- Fletcher Farley Post 191 from Bancroft for Posting the Colors (Jason Gatzemeyer and Alvin Sorensen);

North Platte Pasture Lodge
A Pasture Lodge was held in North Platte on Tuesday, June 11 at W.B. Walt Johnson’s farm. Three generations of Walt’s family belong to Platte Valley Lodge No. 32 (family shown in second picture with MW Bob Moninger).
Grand Master Attends Rainbow Grand Assembly
